NYE on the couch!
Aside from the whole “we have a baby now” thing, this New Year’s Eve was kinda the perfect night to celebrate from home. It was dreary and cold and rainy, and there is nothing I like more than snuggling up on my couch on those type of days. But it’s a holiday, and I’m not one to skip out on celebrating ANYTHING, especially not New Year’s Eve. Champagne, sparkles and fun headwear? - Sign me up!
So, what to do? Well, we opted for a nice feast at home, post baby’s bedtime. We enjoyed crab legs, green beans and mashed potatoes while sipping on champagne and haphazardly playing scrabble, then moved the party on over to our couch where we watched The Office (in a NYE hat and crown, of course).
Best part of the night? Aside from smooching my huz at home during the ball drop, Theo woke up at 12:15 for a little late night snuggle from mom and dad, and we spent the first few hours of 2019 all cozy and content in bed together (#ilovecosleeping). That morning we finished off the leftover champagne via mimosas paired with cinna rolls - a staple in the NewmaHouse.
Happy New Year everyone!
