First birthday in Boston!
A bit late to the party (pun intended), but I’m finally posting the photos from our trip to Boston for Theo Baby’s FIRST birthday! I can NOT believe he’s one - this past year has been an amazing ride, and he’s the sweetest little boy anyone could have ever hoped for.
In lieu of a party, the huz and I decided we’d rather focus on spending time just the three of us. Big parties are fun and all, but for our family, it made more sense to do something special on our own, and celebrate with different friends and family separately. With a February 16th birthdate, Tito’s birthday will almost always be near or on President’s Day Weekend - which gives us a nice opportunity to travel to new places each year. When he’s older he can have more say, but in the meantime, we’re thinking of trying to bring him somewhere new each year. Seems like a fun family tradition to me, and we had an absolute blast exploring Boston with him.
He was the easiest babe ever travel wise - no surprise there. He’s seriously so easy going, it’s hard to believe he’s mine. Our first stop after checking in to our hotel was Quincy Market, followed by a chilly walk over to the pier. Dinner at the Hard Rock was super family friendly, and we had a nice easy bedtime.
On Saturday, Theo’s actual birthday, we woke up, had brunch at State Street Provisions - so good! It was right near the Boston Aquarium, which was our big adventure for the birthday boy. It’s so nice, has so much to see and do, including touching sting rays (something I opted out of - but Theo proved he’s already braver than me, ha!)
He napped just in time for us to grab a few drinks, and pick up a cupcake for him to enjoy back at our hotel before we took a drive out to Wahlburger for dinner and a walk around Fenway.
All in all - he was prefect as per the usual and even slept thru (most) of the night. We’re open to suggestions for his 2nd birthday trip….
